Review of Shimano Scimitar 2 Piece Medium Spinning Rod

(More customer reviews)I've been using a couple of these spinning rods for the past 5-6 years without any issues at all.The rods are tough, but sensitive enough to pick up the most subtle bites.

I find them to be well balanced with a 1500 or 2500 series reel and I can make very accurate casts with them.

They've become a workhorse on my boat and I use them for many different styles of fishing, including finesse and texas rigged worms.They have the backbone to pull a 3/0 hook through a 5" senko and into a bass's mouth.

As much as they've been tossed around in my truck and boat, neither of my Scimitar rods have developed any cracks, breaks, or split guides.They hold the reel solidly in place without slip and don't fatigue my hand like many other rods with a fatter grip.

I have much more expensive rods that I use, but I find them to be a lot more fragile and break easily.That ends up being a high cost for slightly more sensitivity.I end up using the Scimitar more than most of those more expensive models!

I highly recommend this spinning rod to anglers of all levels.
