Review of Okuma EVx Surf Spinning Rod

(More customer reviews)I took this 12ft Okuma EVx surf rod,and a Okuma SAF 80 reel out for a spin last Sunday on the Chesapeke Bay here where I live,and they both performed wonderfully.The one small gripe I have is that it's a full graphite rod so it's a bit stiff,and dose'nt load quite as much as I would like,but then again it is a medium/heavy action rod.I used 30lb powerpro as my line of choice with a 40lb mono shock leader,and with the 4oz inline sinker I was casting it easilly propelled it well beyond seeing and hearing distance.
It's a good looking rod also with the diamond cross weave on the butt and forend above the stainless steel reel seat,it also comes with fugi guides,and a very nice fabric rod case.It's a great rod for the price.Okuma EVx Surf Spinning Rod.
