If you are an avid fisherman with no money to invest in 100.00+ rods, these are the perfect solution. Can also be used for Smallmouths and Northern Pike. I use 12lb spiderwire on these rods while trolling 50 ft behind a planer board at a speed of 1.1- 1.5 mph dragging a flourescent lime green crawler harness. Works well for me!!
