I am on my second (maybe third) pair of these gloves. They are indeed extremely light weight and for the price I have found nothing better. The grip padding is quite adequate for my purposes and the mesh backs do keep the hands much cooler.I like the anti-microbial terry sweatband thumb as this is the area that automatically hit my eyes when I whip them. The fit on these gloves is quite comfortable and the gloves wear quite well.I like fingerless gloves even in the winter and these fit that need perfectly.

Now I cannot say that these are be best bike gloves I have ever worn or owned. If you do long daily distances, I would suggest one of the new gel gloves as that will cut down on hand and wrist pain quite a lot. These gloves being reviewed are fine for my short 10 mile daily runs. The biggest down side I find is that when the hands are wet with sweat the gloves are a real pain to remove as they fit quite tightly and there is absolutely no stretching when they are wet.The backs are a nylon/spandex mesh which includes polyester and nylon so if you have skin allergies to this, take note. The palms are a non-leather material and wear quite well. The thumb is made of terry cotton and nylon. These gloves are suppose to be hand washed in cold water and line dried.I have never tried this and the only time my gloves get washed, like my truck, is when they get rained on.The rain water seems to do them no harm so I suppose the hand washing would work.

So far I have had no problems with any seam tearing.I am rather hard on gloves (I actually wear these at the gym when doing light weights) and I tend to loose gloves rather quickly, ergo the multiple pair. With the shorter distances I ride and my absent mindedness, I find that the price of these things is attractive and I feel I get my monies worth.

Are these ultra cool expensive impress the crowd type glove?Good grief no.They don't look bad...gray and white and they are functional which is my primary concern...well, that and cost.Would I wear these if I were doing high millage runs on a daily basis?Probably not. There are better quality gloves out there for that purpose. Will I buy another pair when these wear out or the glove gremlins get them?Yup.

Good practical buy and you are probably actually getting more than you are paying for at this price.Because they are what they are I am giving these five stars but keep in mind that I am not comparing these to fifty dollar gloves.
